What we collect, and what stays with you
v1 is a public website plus a navigator that runs in your browser. We would rather say exactly that than promise a vault we have not built.
The navigator stays in the browser
Your questions and the answers built from the local corpus are processed on your device. They are saved only in this browser’s session storage so you can see the thread. Close the tab, or clear the session, and they are gone from this site.
We do not receive those questions when you click Search. If you copy text and paste it into an email to us, then we have what you sent, in ordinary email.
We will not say “we never store data.” That sentence would be false the moment you email us.
What this public site does store
Like any website, the host can see ordinary server logs (for example, the page requested, a rough location from an IP address, and a browser type). v1 does not set marketing cookies and does not include an advertising pixel.
If you write 1@ilovetoparty.com, we keep the email so we can answer you.
No account in v1
There is no login. There is no password to forget. There is no customer database behind this site tonight.
What never to type here
- A named student’s identifying facts: name, date of birth, address, school, or disability classification tied to a real child.
- IEPs, prior written notices, due process complaints, or other education records.
- Passwords or password-manager master keys.
- Full Social Security numbers.
- Bank or investment account numbers.
The navigator will refuse a question that looks like it contains those student facts. That is a feature.
Children
This site is for adults reading public law. It is not directed at children under 13. Do not enter a child’s education record.
